The Innovation Effect (TIE) is a Norwegian innovation agency based at Fornebu near Oslo. Our core business is to deliver projects focused on insight, growth and innovation by connecting students in interdisciplinary teams with innovative companies. We also offer innovation courses for company employees and managers, and facilitate credit-bearing practice programs in collaboration with the University sector.

Since 2015, we have completed over 150 innovation projects in collaboration with more than 500 students, 30 Universities and 65 companies, such as Equinor, Atea, Telenor, HP, Orkla, NHO and Norwegian Church Aid. With the use of our tailor-made methodology for value-creating and rapid innovation processes, we ensure innovation for companies both in the private and public sector and international corporates.

In addition to TIE’s employees, we recruit approximately 50 student consultants annually for our innovation projects. Skilled interdisciplinary student teams are our most important resource. We have formal and informal collaborations with all universities and colleges in Norway, in addition to selected international schools.

TIE’s vision is to help bridge the gap between studies and work, and create an innovative societal impact. We renew and improve existing products, services and processes for small and large companies across industries and sectors. Together, we create an innovation effect.
